Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Chaplain at Lake Forest Hospital to provide spiritual care, counseling, and support to patients, families, and hospital staff. The role includes on-call coverage, weekend shifts, and overnight duties as part of a casual, non-benefited, part-time schedule.
The position requires a Master’s degree in theology or divinity and at least one unit of CPE (or nearing completion). Prior ordination or board certification is preferred, with ongoing professional development

** This is a casual (non-benefited) position supporting Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital. Schedule would be2 weekend call shift per month (12-24 hr. per shift) and 1 overnight call (8pm to 8am) during the week. Additionally filling in to help cover PTO as needed. **

A chaplain offers spiritual guidance and pastoral care to patients, families, and hospital staff/medical staff. As representatives of spiritual and/or religious traditions, chaplains use insights and principles of psychology religion, spirituality, and theology.

Education:
At least one (1) unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or in process of completing one (1) unit of CPE within 90 days of hire date
