Good Shepherd Health Care System in Hermiston, Oregon, seeks a Chaplain to provide spiritual presence, counsel and Soul Care coordination for patients, families and staff. The role includes on-call visits, EPIC charting, and aligning soul care with the overall plan of care.
The chaplain will collaborate with department leadership, attend monthly training, and support diverse faith perspectives while flexible scheduling and travel for best practice training are expected.
Hourly wage range: Min: $27.23 Max: $44.88 The Chaplain provides spiritual presence, counsel, guidance and coordination of Soul Care to the patients, their families and Good Shepherd staff who request such support. He or she makes on-call visits as requested by department manager or nursing supervisor, records work in the digital record (EPIC) and assures that soul care is integrated in the overall plan of care.

The chaplain provides short term soul care in the Emergency Department and as needed on the units. When possible and requested, the chaplain works in collaboration with a patient’s AREA MINISTER in service of the ultimate goal of a more whole person-centered hospital visit or stay.
