Join to apply for the Chanticleer Inn Housekeeper (Part-Time) role at See Rock City, Inc.

The Chanticleer Housekeeper position offers the opportunity to contribute to a unique boutique lodging experience atop historic Lookout Mountain. Typical work hours are between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with shifts lasting 6-8 hours. Under the direction of the Chanticleer & Grandview Manager, the Housekeeper is responsible for:

  1. Providing excellent guest service aligned with the organization's mission, culture, and values.
  2. Modeling appropriate guest and partner interactions.
  3. Entering guest rooms following proper procedures to ensure vacancy and access.
  4. Replacing guest amenities, linens, and supplies.
  5. Cleaning and stocking bathrooms and other non-guest areas.
  6. Removing trash, linens, and service items.
  7. Checking appliances and furnishings for proper operation and placement.
  8. Dusting, polishing, and cleaning walls, furnishings, and windows.
  9. Vacuuming carpets and performing floor care in guest rooms.
  10. Laundering linens and other items.
  11. Following company policies and procedures consistently.
  12. Monitoring inventory levels and notifying management of supply needs.
  13. Reporting repairs and guest room issues to the manager.
  14. Performing additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Previous experience in lodging, hospitality, or related fields preferred, with willingness to receive training.
  • Possess a kind personality and team-oriented attitude.
  • Maintain a professional, engaging, and polite demeanor with guests and team members.
  • Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions.
  • Ability to read and understand operational documents.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment as part of a team.
  • Flexible schedule to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Physical ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and stand regularly.
