The Chanticleer Housekeeper position offers the opportunity to contribute to a unique boutique lodging experience atop historic Lookout Mountain. Typical work hours are between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with shifts lasting 6-8 hours. Under the direction of the Chanticleer & Grandview Manager, the Housekeeper is responsible for:
- Providing excellent guest service aligned with the organization's mission, culture, and values.
- Modeling appropriate guest and partner interactions.
- Entering guest rooms following proper procedures to ensure vacancy and access.
- Replacing guest amenities, linens, and supplies.
- Cleaning and stocking bathrooms and other non-guest areas.
- Removing trash, linens, and service items.
- Checking appliances and furnishings for proper operation and placement.
- Dusting, polishing, and cleaning walls, furnishings, and windows.
- Vacuuming carpets and performing floor care in guest rooms.
- Laundering linens and other items.
- Following company policies and procedures consistently.
- Monitoring inventory levels and notifying management of supply needs.
- Reporting repairs and guest room issues to the manager.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous experience in lodging, hospitality, or related fields preferred, with willingness to receive training.
- Possess a kind personality and team-oriented attitude.
- Maintain a professional, engaging, and polite demeanor with guests and team members.
- Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions.
- Ability to read and understand operational documents.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Physical ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and stand regularly.
