Job Description

This is a remote, field-based sales position. The ideal candidate will work out of their home office and conduct regular business travel as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Our base salary is part of a comprehensive total compensation package, determined within a range based on experience, skills, education, performance, licenses/certifications, business needs, and other factors. The starting base annual salary range for this position is $90,910 - $137,500. This role is eligible for variable sales commissions based on company and individual performance. POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is primarily responsible for managing, supporting, and growing SICK sales through authorized distributors within their region. It involves serving as the main field liaison with distributors and their customers to increase sales and market share for SICK.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and manage regional distribution business plans, acting as the primary liaison to increase sales and market share.
  • Lead and coach the execution of growth strategies, ensuring collaboration among sales teams and distributors.
  • Guide distributors in adopting new SICK products, solutions, and services, and set aggressive goals for new product launches.
  • Monitor distributor performance, ensure goal achievement, and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Implement and lead standardized sales processes, promoting CRM utilization and managing leads.
  • Build customer relationships, understand their business needs, and provide consultative solutions based on SICK’s SSP methodology.
  • Manage customer communications, qualify opportunities and threats, and perform market analysis for prospecting new distributor relationships.
  • Strive for sales excellence through continuous learning, performance tracking, and market analysis.
  • Coordinate regional training, meetings, trade shows, and support sales and marketing efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Four-year degree in a technical field or equivalent experience in technical sales.
  • Prior sales experience with high-tech industrial control products, either directly or via distribution, is required.

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel 40% of the month.
  • Strong sales management skills and ability to implement account plans.
  • Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work outside traditional hours as needed.
  • Legally permitted to work in the U.S. and able to work in a general office environment.
