Job summary

ABB in New Berlin, WI, is hiring a Channel Development Manager to grow ABB’s service business through the MODP channel network in the US. You will work with MODP, MOSE, and partners to identify opportunities, drive adoption of service programs, and align actions across Sales, Service, Training, TPM, Portfolio Management, and Operations.

The role requires collaboration with regional managers, strong channel management experience, and proven ability to influence at multiple organizational levels.

• Develop and execute channel growth strategies to increase sales, profitability, market share, and lifecycle service adoption.
• Serve as the primary liaison between MODP and MOSE, building relationships with channel partners and regional sales managers.
• Conduct regular business reviews and performance discussions to align objectives and improve partner performance.
• Provide commercial support, service expertise, training resources, and customer issue resolution.
• Leverage market analysis, CRM, and BI tools to identify opportunities and support forecasting and planning.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Sales, Service, Training, TPM, Portfolio Management, and Operations.

This position reports to:

VP - Service Sales

ABB's Motion Service (MOSE) division is hiring a Channel Development Manager responsible for growth of service business related to standard products from ABB's 'Motion Drive Products' (MODP) division through the existing HVAC and Water & Wastewater channel partner network within the United States.

The position will work closely with MODP Regional Sales Managers, channel partners, and internal stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, support business planning, remove barriers to execution, and drive adoption of service program and service offering. The Channel Development Manager will function as the main touch point between MODP and MOSE, ensuring alignment across the divisions.

In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid new Berlin, WI.

Your role and responsibilities:

• Drive growth of ABB's HVAC and Water & Wastewater service business through the existing channel partner network in partnership with MODP.
• Develop and execute channel growth strategies to increase sales, profitability, market share, and lifecycle service adoption.
• Serve as the primary liaison between MODP and MOSE, fostering strong relationships with channel partners, Regional Sales Managers, and key stakeholders.

• Enable channel success by providing commercial support, service expertise, training resources, and customer issue resolution.
• Leverage market analysis, CRM, and business intelligence tools to identify opportunities, improve channel effectiveness, and support forecasting and strategic planning.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Sales, Service, Training, TPM, Portfolio Management, and Operations while providing market feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in channel management, sales, service, product management, or related commercial roles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage customer and partner relationships.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple organizations and leadership levels.
• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Preferred

• Experience within industrial automation, drives, or services businesses.
• Knowledge of channel partner ecosystems and indirect sales models.
• Experience supporting service programs, aftermarket businesses, or lifecycle management initiatives.
• Familiarity with ABB products, systems, and commercial processes.
