Overview

The Channel Development Lead defines the sales product strategy for single or multiple lines of business targeting specific markets and/or business segments. The Channel Development Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. The Channel Development Lead develops key performance indicators to drive sales program effectiveness and to ensure cost efficiencies. Provides data driven expertise and management reporting to improve sales performance and increase market share. Develops go to market strategies and identifies new business opportunities to increase overall sales portfolio. Identifies key areas of improvement through trend and utilization analysis. Collaborates closely with business leaders, marketing and finance to ensure effective, strategic, and competitive sales plans. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Retail and FMO partners to ensure program compliance
  • Build, execute and monitor 3 year business plan for retail program
  • Create and distribute agent status reporting to partners
  • Maintain Agent activity reporting, ensure all responses are documented
  • Respond to Agents/Partners inquires with clear and accurate information
  • This is not a sales role but a role to operationalize and develop National Retail program opportunities
Required Qualifications
  • 4 or more years of experience building sales/vendor opportunities in large national retail accounts
  • 2 or more years of experience in the health solutions industry
  • 2 or more years of project management or project leadership experience
  • Experience training and/or coaching professionals
  • Strong business acumen
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree
  • strong understanding of sales in large retail accounts
  • PMP certification
  • active license to sell health/life

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

$115,200 - $158,400 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
