Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation seeks a Construction Change Order Engineer for our Los Angeles office. Review owner-ordered changes, develop scopes, price change orders, and coordinate with the operations team on CSP.

Strong emphasis on accurate take-offs and subcontractor pricing to support bids and client proposals. The role requires 5+ years in construction estimating with exposure to design-build or self-perform work, plus solid MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of relevant work experience in construction estimating or change orders.
• Two+ years in construction industry with estimating emphasis.
• Experience with fixed price, design-build, and/ or self-perform estimating a plus

Responsibilities

• Review Owner ordered extra work documents for accuracy and completeness and develop questions as they relate to assigned scope of work.
• Develop scope of work packages to define project work requirements through narratives, checklists, and quantity take-off for change order pricing.
• Solicit subcontractor/vendor quotations, prepare and distribute change order document packages, respond to inquiries.
• Evaluate and analyze subcontractor/vendor proposals to ensure accuracy in scope (quantities, schedule, inclusions, exclusions).
• Coordinate with operations team on this design-bid-build project to support development of cost and schedule proposals (CSP).
• Finalize cost proposals for submission to the client.
• Assist with change order negotiations and finalize agreed upon terms, conditions, and price.
• Assist with purchasing and definition of subcontractor/ vendor agreements scope of work.
