Jet Linx Aviation is seeking a Second-in-Command for the Challenger 350 team serving Chicago area Part 91 and Part 135 flights. You will report to the Base Chief Pilot and help ensure safe, efficient operation of company aircraft in full FAR compliance.

Responsibilities include executing SIC duties, flight preparation, duty/rest management, EFB oversight, and ongoing compliance with company manuals and navigational updates.

Qualifications

• Flight time and certificates required per FAA FARs.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Eligible to work in the United States and travel internationally.

About the role

Jet Linx Aviation is seeking a safety-focused, detail-driven Second-in-Command to join our Challenger 350 team supporting Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations in the Chicago area. Reporting to the Base Chief Pilot, you will help ensure the safe, efficient, and professional operation of company aircraft in full compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations FARs and company procedures.

What you'll do

• Execute flight duties as SIC, upholding the highest safety, regulatory, and customer service standards.
• Prepare and conduct flights in accordance with company manuals, CFR/FAR requirements, and operational best practices.
• Manage duty, flight, and rest times in strict alignment with regulations and company policies.
• Maintain proactive communication on standby status, trip notifications, position calls, and pre-/post-flight reports.
• Administer and maintain EFB hardware and applications, ensuring functionality and compliance.
• Keep navigation charts, publications, and company manuals current at all times.
• Demonstrate sound, timely decision-making and consistently represent Jet Linx core values in every interaction.

What you bring

• Flight time: 1,500 hours total time; 500 hours PIC; 500 hours multi-engine; 100 hours turbine; 150 hours instrument.
• Certificates: Unrestricted ATP; current FAA First-Class Medical; FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
• Work eligibility & travel: Valid passport; proof of eligibility to work in the United States; unrestricted ability to travel to EU, Canadian, and Caribbean countries.
• Compliance: Able to obtain a U.S. driver’s license; pass a pre-employment drug screen; participate in random drug and alcohol testing as required.
• Records: Consent to and successfully pass an FAA Pilot Records Database PRD review with a System Chief Pilot.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Physical & schedule: Comfortable working around aircraft and terminals; able to frequently move up to 50 lbs; available for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred

• Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in type within the last 24 months.

Compensation & benefits

• Starting base salary: $124,000 – $160,000 annually (dependent on geographic location, aircraft size, and relevant education, training, and experience).

Where you'll be based
