Job description

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Chairside Technician to join our dynamic dental lab team, specializing in All-on-X conversions with photogrammetry. This position involves assisting in the conversion of traditional denture restorations to All-on-X fixed prosthetics while utilizing cutting-edge photogrammetry technology to ensure accurate and precise results. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental assisting, particularly in implant-based restorations, and a strong understanding of photogrammetry in the context of restorative dentistry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • All-on-X Conversions: Assist in the complete process of All-on-X conversion, including pre-operative evaluations, implant placement, and final restoration fitting. Work closely with the clinical team to ensure optimal implant placement and accurate prosthetic design.
  • Photogrammetry Integration:Utilize photogrammetry technology to capture high-resolution 3D images of the patient’s oral anatomy for precise measurements and prosthetic design. Integrate photogrammetry data into the digital workflow to ensure accuracy in implant positioning and final restoration fitting.
  • Patient Preparation & Chairside Assistance: Prepare patients for All-on-X procedures, ensuring the proper sterilization and organization of instruments, materials, and equipment. Provide chairside support during procedures, assisting the clinical team and ensuring patient comfort throughout the process.
  • Digital Scanning & Imaging: Perform intraoral scans and manage photogrammetry setups to capture accurate facial and oral structures, facilitating the production of highly accurate restorations. Familiarity with digital workflows and integration of imaging data into the lab’s design system is essential.
  • Collaboration with Clinical Team: Work closely with the clinical team to ensure the successful implementation of the All-on-X plan, from pre-operative evaluation to post-operative care and follow-ups.
  • Prosthetic Fabrication & Fitting: Assist in the fabrication, adjustment, and fitting of provisional restorations, ensuring proper occlusion, aesthetics, and functionality before final restoration placement.
  • Quality Control & Precision: Ensure that all restorative materials and devices meet the highest standards of quality and precision, particularly in regards to the integration of photogrammetry data.
  • Patient Education & Post-Operative Care: Educate patients on the care and maintenance of their new prosthetics, as well as post-operative instructions. Schedule follow-up appointments for necessary adjustments and healing progress.
  • Documentation & Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all procedures, including photogrammetry images, implant data, and restoration adjustments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dental chairside assistant, with specific experience in All-on-X conversions, implant restorations, or related procedures. Familiarity with photogrammetry technology and its use in dental restorations is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills:Proficient in photogrammetry techniques, digital scanning, and CAD/CAM workflows. Knowledge of implant systems and All-on-X procedures is essential.
  • Certifications:Certification in dental assisting or a related field preferred. Additional training or certifications in photogrammetry or implantology would be advantageous.
  • Communication:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, clinical teams, and laboratory staff.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and precision, particularly when using photogrammetry and digital technology to ensure the highest quality outcomes for patients.
