The hiring range for this position is $23.62 - $28.92, with a full range of $21.00 - $28.92, depending on skills and experience.

Position Summary:

The Dental Assistant II is responsible for patient preparation, supporting dental providers, sterilization, and clinic flow.

Your contributions include:

  1. Greet and prepare patients, identify chief complaints, and take vitals.
  2. Update patient info in Electronic Dental Record (EDR) and Practice Management (EPM) systems.
  3. Assist dental providers during exams and procedures like prophylaxis, root canals, restorations, crowns, and bridges.
  4. Perform digital imaging, prophylaxis, sealants, and manage medication refills and instructions.
  5. Provide patient education on medication use and home care.
  6. Sterilize equipment following OSHA/WISHA guidelines and prepare operatories.
  7. Coordinate between reception and providers for smooth patient flow.
  8. Maintain confidentiality of all patient records and personal information.

Requirements for success:

  1. Certificate from an accredited Dental Assistant program or comparable experience of at least 3 months.
  2. Current registration/licensure with the State of Washington.
  3. Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  4. Willingness to work Saturdays.

Preferred skills:

  • Proficiency with EHR systems like Epic.
