New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Department of Collaborative Arts, seeks an accomplished Chair (Associate or Full Professor, tenure line) to lead its innovative four-year BFA program beginning Fall 2027. The Chair will guide curriculum, foster collaboration, and represent the department across Tisch and NYU’s global network.

The position includes dynamic academic leadership, budget oversight, faculty/staff mentorship, and strategic planning, with a renewable 3-year term contingent

Qualifications

• Academic leadership experience with governance, direction, and budget oversight.
• Proven track record in pedagogy, mentoring undergraduates, and cross-disciplinary practice.
• Vision for innovation and collaboration across artistic disciplines.

Responsabilités

• Provide dynamic vision for the department’s faculty, staff, and students.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, budgeting, enrollment targets, and program activity.
• Direct faculty/staff recruitment, reviews, tenure-line development, and mentorship.
• Lead curricular frameworks, manage facilities and technologies, and collaborate across Tisch and NYU.
