Job summary

Peerless Chain in Winona, MN is seeking a Chain Maker Trainee to join our first-shift, on-site team. The role requires completing a formal 6-month training program with classroom and hands-on instruction, as well as operating machine sets in the assigned cell.

You must follow safety policies, maintain equipment, and help ensure product quality. As a trainee, you will complete documentation for processes and quality checks, collaborate with nearby operators, and handle materials as needed.

Qualifications

• Complete and pass formal 6-month training program including classroom and hands on instruction.
• Must be able to operate machine sets in their assigned work cell.
• Abide by safety policies, operator preventative maintenance and housekeeping practices.
• Ensure the quality specification of the product.
• Accurately complete process and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs Material Handling duties to move raw and finished goods.
• Must be able to work in partnership with other operators in assigned work cell.
• Reasoning ability to define problems, collect information and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
