Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a CH-47 Helicopter Repairer to supervise and perform maintenance on Chinooks, ensuring safety and readiness. You will conduct inspections, servicing, and subsystem upkeep on engines, rotors, gearboxes, and flight controls.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 16 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. You’ll earn a regular paycheck, qualify for tuition assistance, benefits, and the potential for a civilian career with aircraft manufacturers and

Qualifications

• Enlistment in the Army National Guard is required.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must meet physical, legal, and moral standards to serve.

Responsibilities

• Remove and install engine, rotor, gearbox, and transmission assemblies.
• Service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems.
• Inspect and repair wings, fuselages, and tail assemblies.
• Prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks.
• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting.
