United States Steel Corporation in Wisconsin seeks a Maintenance Technician for the Continuous Galvanizing Line. You will ensure safety, environmental, and quality requirements and assist in uptime and process control to support line operations.
This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work without direct supervision, and a basic understanding of steel mill processes. 12-hour shifts rotate days and nights with weekends and overtime as needed.
Ensures policies, procedures, and all activities pertaining to this position are carried out to support BRS goals and objectives at the Continuous Galvanizing Line on their respective crew assignments.
The environment is typical for steel mill production areas, with extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and dusty/greasy areas. Physically demanding work and the ability to routinely lift and move heavy objects during shift is required. Typical work hours are 12-hour shifts, which rotate days and nights resulting in working some weekends/holidays and overtime as needed.
This position does not supervise others.
