Job summary

Maryville City School District Coulter Grove Intermediate in Maryville, TN is seeking a full-time Custodian. The role includes cleaning, stocking supplies, basic maintenance, and ensuring a safe, healthy school environment.

Starting pay is $17.64/hour with health benefits, life insurance and a retirement pension; 40 hours weekly, 12-month position. The successful candidate will communicate well, lead by example, and work positively with staff and students.

Qualifications

• Preferred- Successful maintenance/cleaning experience
• Preferred- Skills, abilities, experiences in light maintenance, inspections, general cleaning, management of personnel

Responsibilities

• General Cleaning- sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and other general cleaning throughout the school day (cafeteria, bathrooms, classrooms, gym)
• Stocking towels, hand soap, toilet tissue, trash liners, etc.
• Light maintenance- changing bulbs, moving furniture, unloading trucks, etc.
• Inspections/Reporting- inspect previous shift cleaning and report deficiencies to supervisor
• Perform physical duties (lifting up to 50 pounds)
• Other duties as assigned by administration

Position: Full-time Custodian

• Details: Full-time position

• Location:Coulter Grove Intermediate School
• Pay Range: $17.64/hour (starting pay rate with no experience)

Responsibilities:

• General Cleaning- (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and other general cleaning)Administrative offices and areas, kitchen, storage closets, café dining areas, daily kitchen and dining garbage removal, etc.) Other areas as needed or directed throughout the school day to include cafeteria, bathrooms, locker rooms, classrooms, and gym
• Stocking (Re-stock and re-order towels, hand soap, toilet tissue, trash liners, etc.)
• Light maintenance- Changing light bulbs, moving furniture, unloading trucks, and other requests as needed by school administration.
• Inspections/Reporting- Inspect previous shift cleaning, reporting deficiencies to supervisor
• Ability to perform any physical duties associated with this position (e.g., lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, sitting for long periods of time, walking, seeing, standing for extended periods of time, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned by administration
