Job summary

Modern Treasury, a leading fintech payments platform, is seeking a senior finance leader in San Francisco. You will partner with the CEO and management to shape strategy, design the operating model, and allocate resources for growth.

You will guide pricing, payments economics, and negotiations with banks and financial partners. You will lead capital markets initiatives, oversee debt facilities, and manage strategic transactions while communicating performance to the Board and investors.

Qualifications

• Experience navigating primary capital raises, debt financings, or M&A.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills for boards, investors, and stakeholders.
• Experience operating in a high-growth startup.
• Fintech infrastructure or application-layer experience.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Shape the company and operating model with the CEO and management team.
• Drive resource allocation and long-term value creation.
• Guide product strategy, pricing, packaging, and payments economics.
• Negotiate with financial partners and banks.
• Lead capital markets, capital raises, debt facilities, M&A, and strategic transactions.
• Communicate financial performance, outlook, and strategy to the Board and investors.
• Build, manage, and scale the finance function.
• Develop and implement an AI strategy for finance.
