Job summary

State Street in Boston seeks a Chief Financial Officer for the COO Organization to drive financial strategy across operations, technology, data, cybersecurity and enterprise infrastructure. The role partners with the Enterprise COO and Global Head of Strategic Finance to shape the operating model and transformation program.

You will lead budgeting, investment governance and performance management for a global, matrixed organization, coaching a worldwide finance team and influencing executives

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience within large, global, complex organizations.
• Experience supporting technology, operations, infrastructure, or technology-enabled businesses.
• Deep expertise in FP&A, strategic finance, investment governance, capital allocation, and performance management.
• Demonstrated technology finance experience supporting product, engineering, cloud, infrastructure, software, platform, or technology organizations.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk management, controls, and regulatory environments.
• Experience advising C-suite executives and presenting to Boards and senior leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Advise Enterprise COO; shape financial strategy across operations, tech, data, cybersecurity, and infrastructure.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial reporting for COO-aligned groups.
• Oversee investments, capital allocation, and benefits realization for enterprise tech.
• Partner with operations leaders to improve service delivery and cost efficiency.
• Prepare analyses for executives and boards; ensure strong governance.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing global finance team.
