Job summary

Ansys Government Initiatives (AGI) is seeking a CFO-level Finance Leader to partner with the VP & GM and the parent company finance teams. You will drive AGI’s financial strategy, planning, and governance in a defense-focused operating model.

You will lead FP&A, reporting, controls, and investment decisions, while ensuring audit readiness and strong cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Contracts, Legal, Product, Security, and Operations.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive finance, FP&A, controllership, corporate finance, or government contracting finance experience, including senior leadership responsibility in a complex organization.
• Experience as a CFO, divisional CFO, or senior finance partner for a revenue-heavy, regulated, or matrixed business.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX/internal controls, audit readiness, and government program finance desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide CFO-level finance leadership to AGI’s VP & GM and executive team, and coordinate with parent company finance and shared services.
• Develop and execute AGI’s finance strategy, including planning, forecasting, reporting, controls, and investment tradeoffs in a defense-oriented environment.
• Lead FP&A, budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, KPI reporting, scenario modeling, and executive dashboards.
• Maintain governance, internal controls, and audit readiness in compliance with DoD/government contracting requirements.
