Job summary

Bridge Business Credit is seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team in Troy, Michigan. You will lead strategic finance, capital planning and performance management, partnering with the Ownership Group to propel growth and ensure governance.

You will oversee GAAP reporting, board-ready packages, and lender relationships, while mentoring the finance team and driving scalable processes to support future funding and transition to traditional bank financing.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
  • CFO or senior financial leadership experience; lending/financial services preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior financial strategist, translating complex financial data into actionable business insights.
  • Develop advanced financial models, forecasts and scenario analyses.
  • Partner with leadership on pricing, portfolio yield, revenue enhancement and margin expansion strategies.
  • Establish disciplined budgeting, cost controls and scalable processes to improve operating leverage as the company grows.
  • Optimize debt and equity structure to support growth and maximize return on equity.
  • Lead liquidity, capital planning and cash management strategies.
  • Manage senior lending relationships, reporting requirements and covenant compliance.
  • Develop relationships with prospective bank participants and alternative senior lenders.
  • Negotiate favorable financing terms and evaluate subordinated debt and other capital alternatives.
  • Partner with the Chief Credit Officer on financial analysis and portfolio risk management.
  • Support continuous improvement across underwriting, portfolio management, collateral monitoring and treasury operations.
  • Deliver timely financial reporting and strategic analysis to ownership and executive leadership.
  • Develop board-ready financial packages, dashboards, forecasts and presentations.
  • Partner with outside advisors to understand key valuation drivers and incorporate findings into strategic planning.
  • Oversee accounting, IT, HR/payroll, corporate risk management and other administrative functions.
  • Lead and mentor the Controller while establishing scalable best practices.
  • Ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting and oversee external audit and tax relationships.

Bridge Business Credit is a privately held, non-bank asset-based lender providing working capital solutions to small and middle-market businesses. Established in 2002, Bridge has funded more than $700 million in lending solutions and built its reputation through a nimble, relationship-driven approach that helps clients stabilize, grow and ultimately transition to conventional bank financing.

Following exceptional 10x growth over the past five years , Bridge is seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team and help lead the company through its next phase of growth.

The CFO will serve as a strategic partner to the Ownership Group and executive team, bringing sophisticated financial modeling, forecasting, capital planning, margin analysis and performance management capabilities to the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Growth
  • Serve as the company’s senior financial strategist, translating complex financial data into actionable business insights.

Qualifications
  • 15 years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
  • CFO or comparable senior financial leadership experience; lending or financial services experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • Advanced expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, profitability and capital planning.
  • Experience managing lending relationships, debt structures, covenant compliance and liquidity.
  • Asset-based lending experience is highly valued.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio and enterprise risk management.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems capabilities.
  • Exceptional executive presence, analytical ability, communication skills and business judgment.
