Job summary

Ledgent in East Bay, CA seeks a strategic Chief Financial Officer to join our client's Executive Leadership Team. The CFO will lead all financial operations, guide budgeting and reporting, and ensure the long-term financial health of the organization.

You will build and lead a Finance Department of about 15 staff, oversee audits and government contracts, and partner with the CEO and Board on financial planning and decision-making to drive mission impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
  • 5+ years as CFO, Controller, or senior financial leader.
  • Nonprofit budgets of $10M+ or organizations with 100+ employees.
  • Strong budgeting, reporting, compliance, audits, and government funding knowledge.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: East Bay, CA

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our client's Executive Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will lead all financial operations, provide strategic guidance, and ensure the long-term financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience as a CFO, Controller, or senior financial leader.
  • Experience managing nonprofit financial operations with budgets of $10M+ and/or organizations of 100+ employees.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, audits, and government funding.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
Preferred
  • CPA and/or MBA.
  • Nonprofit healthcare or FQHC experience.
  • 10+ years of executive finance leadership experience.

Salary: $200-$250k
