Grand View University in Des Moines, IA seeks a part-time Center for Learning Assistant to support lab operations for Foundation and Assessment courses. The position runs 20 hours a week during the academic calendar (7 a.m.–3 p.m.).

Qualifications

• Minimum AA/AS degree required.
• CNAPCT medical certification required.
• LPN/RN licensure preferred.
• Ability to set up and tear down labs and manage equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down labs for Foundation and Assessment courses.
• Provide open lab opportunities for skill remediation.
• Coordinate inventory, purchases, and equipment maintenance.
• Assist Department Chair with budget, meetings, and scheduling.

This position will focus on the Center for Learning including:o Set-up and tear down each lab for Foundation and Assessment courseso Provide open lab opportunities for students who are referred to the CFL for skill remediationo Coordinate Center for Learning including:§ Hours of operation 7am-3pm§ Inventory/Cataloging new purchases & equipment§ Tote order for Foundations courses§ Research and ordering supplies§ Preview/purchase/repair/maintenance of equipment§ Research Lab equipment requests/needs§ Maintain laundry supplies (gowns, bedding, towels) and coordinate laundry swapo Assist Department Chair in managing the Center for Learning budget.o Assist the Simulation Educator as needed.o Provide tours and hands-on experience to visiting groupso Attend department meetings.Position will run during the academic calendar with back-to-school finals week each semester.Hours: 20 hours a week, with flexibility to meet the department's needs within 7 a.m.- 3 p.m.Minimum AA/AS degreeMinimum Medical certification required:CNAPCT minimumPreferred medical licensure:LPN/RN with appropriate licensure preferred.
