Why This Role Matters

Vonage has created the Business Critical Transformation (BCT) Office to be responsible for driving and monitoring compliance with Vonage’s CFIUS (Committee on Foreign Investments in the United States) requirements following the acquisition of Vonage by Ericsson. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious CFIUS Senior Technical Compliance Analyst to join the BCT Office.

The CFIUS Senior Technical Compliance Analyst will play a critical role in reviewing and analyzing the company’s policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure product development and internal use of applications comply with the national security agreement (NSA), and aligns with industry standards and applicable laws and regulations. As part of this role, you will support the CFIUS Vice President of NSA Security and be a key member of the NSA Review Process team. The ideal candidate will be high-performing and ambitious, with strong technical experience, leadership, writing and communication skills, and is looking for career growth in a dynamic, technology environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering information for CFIUS required submissions and product development and internal applications process while consulting with internal product, engineering, and architecture teams, as well as external advisors and legal counsel
  • Collaborate with the IT and Security departments to ensure the security of the company’s information systems to ensure NSA compliance
  • Review products and services’ system documentation, architectural diagrams, and data flows to determine access to Vonage’s systems and/or data and potential CFIUS risks
  • Develop and implement compliance frameworks within the organization
  • Prepare detailed reports on findings and make appropriate recommendations to assist in the development of corrective actions plans for resolution of problematic issues
  • Maintain documentation of analysis, reviews and compliance activities for audit purposes
  • Support product lifecycle management by identifying discrepancies and providing corrections where necessary to ensure compliance with CFIUS rules, regulations and laws
  • Stay updated on technology and IT trends to ensure the security of the company’s information systems

Required

What you’ll bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in compliance, corporate governance, or information security roles
  • Hands-on experience working with enterprise IT systems, networks, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and databases
  • 8+ years experience in supporting, managing, or assessing compliance against an enterprise-wide management program or procurement sourcing, with knowledge of risk management requirements
  • Proficient with the use of data analytic tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Familiarity with following systems Jira, Confluence, Oracle, OneTrust, Salesforce
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs
  • BA / BS degree in IT, Business Administration and or a JD in Law

What We Consider a Plus

  • Knowledge or experience with CFIUS is a plus
  • Experience working within a federal government administrative law and or regulatory body
  • Extensive experience in managing compliance programs, developing compliance policies and procedures, and supporting compliance audits
  • Knowledge of Network APIs, CPaaS, SDKs, and other online communication technologies
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to identify security risks
  • Ability to think strategically and objectively to effectively translate data into actionable insights, strategies and business governance plans
  • Strong ability to build relationships cross-functionally and partner with corporate and business unit leaders to deliver solutions that meet the business needs
  • Possess strong data analytic skills to collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources (e.g., database, logfiles, data exports from cloud platforms, etc.)
  • Certifications: CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or AWS/Azure Security Certification

Where You Will Work

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement based out of our Holmdel, New Jersey office, with the flexibility to work remotely. We are also open to considering fully remote candidates located in the Washington, DC metro area.
