Job summary

GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES) in Wilmington, Ohio seeks an experienced Jet Engine Mechanic to join its disassembly and assembly line. The role involves disassembling, inspecting, repairing and reassembling CF6 and CFM engines, with on-wing support available worldwide on request.

Candidate must be CF34 A&P-certified and prepared to operate in a dynamic, technical environment. Reporting to the Director of Maintenance Operations, the position is full-time and permanent, offering opportunities

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must have CF34 experience.
Experience with jet engine assembly, disassembly, and overhaul.
Airframe and Powerplant License under 14 CFR Part 65.
Skilled in repairs and modifications on engines and aircraft components.
Familiar with metal cutting tools and machines.
Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, diagrams and safety rules.
English proficiency to read/interpret maintenance manuals and service bulletins.
Able to work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain articles in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA procedures.
Interpret FAA data and read aircraft drawings and blueprints.
Clean, disassemble, inspect, repair, reassemble and test parts.
Record work performed and perform operational checks.
Propose revisions to procedures and forms as needed.
Maintain shop equipment and tools in good condition.
Identify parts and follow tagging procedures.
Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
