Alvin Community College is seeking qualified instructors for its Continuing Education Workforce Development (CEWD) department. This Part-Time Instructor Pool supports flexible assignments during the academic year, with courses delivered online or in hybrid formats to meet program needs.

This is a Part-Time Instructor Pool in our Continuing Education Workforce Development (CEWD) department for available assignments during the academic year. Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include working days, evenings and/or weekends. All international credential evaluations must be conducted by one of the companies affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. The instructor will teach a variety of Microsoft certificate courses and provide quality instruction in a safe environment to students in accordance with Alvin College policies and procedures. This position requires the individual to follow the current course outlines, objectives, evaluate student competencies and maintain safety procedures within the classroom. The instructor constantly evaluates their effectiveness in the classroom by helping students obtain course learning outcomes and the impact that they have on student retention. The ideal candidate will hold multiple industry certifications and have practical experience teaching adult learners in both corporate and academic settings. This role requires expertise in Microsoft 365 and other Microsoft certifications with a focus on workforce readiness and career advancement.
The incumbent typically will work online or a hybrid modality (virtual instruction).
The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
