New Horizons Behavioral Health in Columbus, GA, is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to support youth in early psychosis. This full-time role focuses on mentorship, empowerment, and connecting clients with community resources, while documenting progress and collaborating with care teams.

Qualifications

• Must have empathy, strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to actively listen and work well in teams.
• CPS certification or plan to obtain CPS within 12 months.

Responsabilités

• Peer Support & Mentorship: provide emotional support, share knowledge, identify wellness tools, assist with resources and documentation.
• Advocacy & Empowerment: help clients/families advocate for rights and necessary accommodations.
• Resource Connection: link clients to education, healthcare, support groups, and benefits.
• Ongoing Support: offer recovery tools, work with care teams to address barriers.
• Crisis Assistance: provide support during crises and engage emergency services if needed.
• Documentation & Reporting: maintain records and prepare reports for compliance.
