Job Description

Job Title: Yoga Teacher

Alternative Title: Yoga Instructor, Yoga & Fitness Teacher, Yoga & Fitness Instructor

Reports to: Studio Manager

Position

YogaSix Yoga Teachers are passionate professionals eager to grow and take their teaching to the next level. They are warm, outgoing, and engaging, committed to guiding classes that are empowering, energizing, and fun. Teachers are hired as part-time employees to support their development and growth.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional classes that connect with students and foster community.
  • Arrive at the studio prepared, at least 15 minutes before class.
  • Set up and manage the practice room, props, music, and lighting.
  • Create a class experience that reflects your personality while adhering to YogaSix standards.
  • Teach safe, fun, and creative classes with a focus on student success.
  • Follow up with students post-class.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the practice and prop rooms.
  • Support studio success through engagement with new students, events, and programs.
  • Maintain presence and practice at the studio.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 200 hours Yoga Alliance Certification.
  • Preferred 6 months of teaching experience.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Ability to connect personally with strangers.
  • Willingness to grow and learn continuously.
  • Warm, approachable personality with a sense of humor.
  • Reliable, neat, and professional.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Availability to teach at least 3 classes per week.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move freely in a heated room, demonstrate postures, and monitor students.
  • May need to climb stairs and lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Visual and hearing abilities necessary for instruction and communication.
