Job summary

Bureau Veritas is hiring a Certified Welding Inspector to join our team in Tucson, AZ. The role involves on-site inspections during construction, QA/QC oversight, and collaboration with clients and fabricators to ensure compliance with project requirements.

The ideal candidate holds an AWS CWI or Senior CWI certification, with preferred NACE/AMPP Level II; travel to sites for 1–2 weeks may be required, and the position supports remote work as needed.

Qualifications

• Current/active AWS CWI or Senior CWI required.
• NACE/AMPP Level II preferred.
• Experience with reading complex design/fabrication plans is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Managers to determine scope, deliverables, schedule and budget.
• Communicate with fabrication shops, contractors, BV staff and third parties to resolve issues.
• Maintain timely, accurate reports (timesheets, billing, expense reports, inspection reports).
• Ensure services meet project requirements and client contract terms.
• Travel and lodging arrangements for 1–2 weeks as needed; manage travel expenses.
• Support on-site inspections during construction phase and provide QA/QC oversight.
