MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector to perform on-site inspections and craft detailed reports. You will apply AWS D1.1 and ASME standards, and use VT/MT/UT/PT/RT methods to assess weld quality on project sites.
Responsibilities include reviewing work orders and drawings for compliance, conducting welder qualification tests, and coordinating with project teams while upholding safety policies. A high school diploma and CWI D1.1 certification are required.
Certified welding inspectors are responsible for checking the welding bonds created on a job site. They need extensive knowledge of welding techniques and metal heating, and must also be well versed in safety procedures. Along with in-person inspections, certified welding inspectors also craft reports and inspect welding materials.
