Job Title: Certified Welding Inspector – CWI - Part Time - Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX

Pennoni, an ENR Top 500 consulting engineering firm and a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking part-time AWS Certified Welding Inspectors for fabrication shops in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX area. Our projects involve producing bridge and highway components for transportation agencies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other materials.
• Monitor work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications.
• Communicate and meet with fabricators, clients, and engineers.
• Produce daily written shop reports.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in QA/QC of bridge fabrication.
• Non-Destructive Testing certifications (e.g., UT, MT, PT).
• Experience with QA/QC of bridge and highway structure fabrication.
• AWS D1.1/D1.5 experience.
• Coating inspection experience.
