Phoenix National Labs, part of the ATS Family, seeks certified inspectors for special inspection, welding inspection, and nondestructive testing in Tempe, AZ. These roles may be permanent or contract-based, with candidates holding ICC/IFC, AWS CWI, or NDT Level II credentials encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include field inspections, detailed reporting, and coordination with project teams on commercial, industrial and semiconductor construction sites; relocation optional.

Qualifications

• Current ICC Special Inspector certifications or equivalent
• AWS CWI certification is preferred
• NDT Level II certifications in VT, MT, PT, UT, RT are desirable
• Proven experience performing special inspections on commercial or industrial construction projects
• Strong understanding of applicable codes, standards and QA requirements

Summary: Phoenix National Labs (PNL), part of the ATS Family of Companies, located in Tempe, AZ, is seeking CWI, NDT Level II & Certified ICC / IFC Special Inspectors to support major commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and semiconductor construction projects throughout Arizona. We are actively recruiting qualified individuals who hold certifications and experience in special inspection, welding inspection, and nondestructive testing. These are permanent and/or part-time (contract) assignments for those already in the Phoenix/Tempe, AZ region or able/willing to relocate.

Immediate Opportunities:

• AWS Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) with AWS D1.1 experience
• NDT Level II Technicians (any combination of VT, MT, PT, UT, RT)
• Certified Special Inspectors, including:
• Structural Steel Inspection
• High-Strength (HS) Bolting Inspection
• Fireproofing Inspection
• IFC or FCIA Firestop Inspection

Work Conditions

• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
• Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
• Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
• Work in/around operating equipment and industrial environments.
• Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
• Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
