Job summary

UFP Berlin, LLC in New Jersey is seeking an Assembler III / Certified Welder to fabricate component parts or assemble the finished product according to customer specifications. You will secure and maintain the correct components and supplies required for the operation.

The role includes setting up the work area, fitting parts, operating equipment, inspecting quality, maintaining safety, completing TPM and production records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience assembling components; 1 year preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math.
  • May have certification in area of expertise including welding.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup.
  • Fits parts together in accordance with the prescribed manner and in accordance with quality standards.
  • Operates equipment and tools as required to complete the assembly process.
  • Prevents and controls waste of raw material.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Provides basic TPM to equipment and completes TPM paperwork when required.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Hourly/Salary Pay Range:

$50,000 - $100,000 annually dependent on experience* *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living

Bonus/Incentive Pay

For hourly positions with incentive pay: Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, and trip rate bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
