Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc is seeking an Assembler III / Certified Welder to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products per customer specifications. The role requires securing and maintaining correct parts and supplies for the operation, with a focus on safety and quality.

The position offers exposure to welding and assembly processes, adherence to standard procedures, and participation in ongoing safety and continuous improvement programs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience assembling components or specialty products.
  • Working knowledge of basic math.
  • May have certification in area of expertise including welding, etc.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Welder responsibilities to fabricate components and assemblies per customer specifications.
  • Set up and prepare the work area.
  • Fit parts together according to prescribed methods and quality standards.
  • Operate required equipment and tools to complete the assembly process.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area and report safety concerns.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Maintain production records as required.
  • Participate in safety, CI, and other programs.
  • Perform duties in accordance with established safety and quality procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Assembler III / Certified Welder is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Welder responsibilities
  • Completes work area setup
  • Fits parts together in accordance with the prescribed manner and in accordance with quality standards
  • Operates equipment and tools as required to complete the assembly process
  • Prevents and controls waste of raw material
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with standards
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
  • Provides basic TPM to equipment and completes TPM paperwork when required
  • Maintains production records as required
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly/Salary Pay Range: $50,000 - $100,000 annually dependent on experience. Pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living.

Bonus/Incentive Pay: For hourly positions with incentive pay, incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, and trip rate bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
