Job Description

Position Purpose: The Operator II maintains water/wastewater treatment, processing, disposal, and testing equipment to meet permit and operational requirements.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
Qualifications
Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED, effective communication skills, basic math skills, and at least 1 year of related experience in water treatment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Proficiency in PPE use, operation of treatment equipment, troubleshooting, computer skills for process control, teamwork, emergency response, and willingness to work extended hours.
Required Certifications/Licenses/Training: Valid driver’s license, passing drug and background checks, and an intermediate level water/wastewater treatment certificate (minimum Class C wastewater license for Florida).
