Hiley Volkswagen of Arlington is seeking a Volkswagen Certified Technician to join our Arlington team. You will perform repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on VW vehicles, ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include test-driving vehicles, diagnosing systems, and communicating with the Service Advisor about additional work and timelines. Eligible candidates will have VW certification preferred and at least 2 years of technician experience, with a strong

• Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and to dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, brakes, A/C.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional services and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

• Volkswagen certified preferred
• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• A, B, C, D level including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
