Position Overview

Oakdale Animal Hospital, located in Brandon, MS, is seeking a Part Time Certified Vet Tech to join our dedicated team. We serve the Brandon and Flowood, MS areas, providing high-quality pet care with a focus on education, technology, and compassionate treatment.

Responsibilities

• Professional client communication and education, including obtaining medical histories and symptoms.
• Laboratory procedures such as hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals.
• Diagnostic imaging and safety protocols.
• Nursing skills including patient restraint, medication administration, bandage application, IV catheter placement, surgery prep, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Proficiency in dental prophylaxis.

Qualifications

• Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials.
• Associates degree in Veterinary Technology.
• Availability for two days a week plus weekend rotation, totaling 20-25 hours per week.
