Bridgetown Veterinary Emergency and Referral (BVER) is a specialty animal hospital located in Portland, Oregon. Our hospital team includes highly skilled veterinarians specializing in Emergency/Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Ophthalmology, supported by dedicated technicians and support staff.

We are hiring Certified Veterinary Technicians to join our overnight ICU team! We are a team of compassionate, seasoned veterinary professionals who value a healthy hospital culture, high standards of patient care, and team member wellbeing. We are seeking experienced overnight Certified Veterinary Technicians for our ICU department, with coverage for three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. A minimum of 2 years ICU experience is required.

Essential Job Functions

• Triage and assessment of cases, including alerting DVM of critical patients
• Perform diagnostic tests and procedures
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by DVM
• Provide support and education to pet owners
• Maintain accurate medical records

Required Skills

• Valid CVT certification in Oregon
• Prior experience in emergency or specialty veterinary hospital
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations
• Confident in CPR, chest taps, urinary deobstruction procedures
• Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills; advanced skills preferred
• Experience assisting with surgical and sedated procedures; anesthesia training provided
