Certified Veterinary Technician - ICU - Overnight Shift (3/12s! Hiring Bonus!)

Bridgetown Veterinary Emergency and Referral (BVER) is a specialty animal hospital located in Portland, Oregon. Our team includes highly skilled veterinarians specializing in Emergency/Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, and Ophthalmology, supported by dedicated technicians and staff.

$5000 SIGN-ON BONUS!

We are hiring Certified Veterinary Technicians to join our overnight ICU team! We are seeking experienced overnight Certified Veterinary Technicians for three 12-hour shifts, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required.

Essential Job Functions

• Triage and assessment of cases, alerting DVM of critical patients
• Perform diagnostic tests and procedures
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by DVM
• Support and educate pet owners
• Maintain accurate medical records

Required Skills

• Valid CVT certification in Oregon
• Prior emergency or specialty hospital experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment with composure
• Confidence in CPR, chest taps, and urinary deobstruction procedures
• Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills; advanced skills preferred
• Assist and monitor surgical and sedated procedures, including unstable patients; anesthesia training provided
