Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to join Westside Animal Clinic in Worcester, MA. The role focuses on high-quality nursing care, assisting veterinarians, recording medical histories, and client education.

A full-time schedule includes day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Eligible candidates will hold a current MA CVT credential or be eligible, have veterinary clinic experience, strong animal-handling skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Current CVT credential or eligibility for MA certification.
• Experience in a veterinary clinical setting.
• Strong animal-handling and patient-care skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and coworkers.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to veterinary patients.
• Assist veterinarians with examinations, procedures, treatments, and surgeries.
• Obtain and record patient histories, vital signs, and medical information.
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory testing, radiographs, and other technician-level procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians.
• Monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Educate clients regarding medications, treatments, preventive care, nutrition, and follow-up instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment and patient-care environment.
• Communicate effectively with doctors and the veterinary team.
