Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians, assist in examinations and procedures, and provide compassionate patient care. You will educate clients and contribute to accurate medical charting.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 1 year in a veterinary hospital, a valid CVT/RVT/LVT license or pursuing certification, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including some evenings and weekends. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of veterinary hospital experience.
CVT/RVT/LVT license preferred or in progress.
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree a plus.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work long shifts.

Responsibilities

Assist in examination, treatment and monitoring of animals under a veterinarian's supervision.
Administer medications, vaccines, and monitor vital signs; collect samples.
Prepare and analyze laboratory samples and operate equipment.
Assist in surgical procedures and post-operative care.
Educate clients about wellness plans, nutrition, and disease prevention.
Maintain accurate medical charting and hospital records.
Triaging calls, scheduling appointments, and patient intake/discharge.
Manage hospital supplies and equipment maintenance.
