Job summary

Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our Cardiology team. This full-time position offers growth within specialty medicine, collaboration with DVMs, and a focus on advanced patient care and client support.

The ideal candidate will hold CVT/LVT/RVT or VTS credentials, have cardiology or critical care experience, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork to deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• CVT, RVT, LVT, or VTS credentials required.
• Experienced Veterinary Technician with strong technical and patient care skills.
• Cardiology, specialty medicine, ER, or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and dedication to outstanding client service.

• Motivated to continue learning and advancing technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee client appointments and manage patient visits from start to finish
• Partner with DVMs during patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
• Utilize advanced imaging modalities to assist with patient evaluations and procedural support
• Manage sedation and anesthetic events, including preparation, monitoring, and recovery
• Provide compassionate nursing care and advocate for patients throughout hospitalization
• Maintain and safely operate medical equipment according to best practices
• Collaborate with Cardiology and specialty medicine teams to provide comprehensive patient care
• Continue developing advanced Veterinary Technician skills within a specialty animal hospital setting

Location: Portsmouth, NH Schedule: Full-Time | Four 10-hour shifts between Monday - Friday Compensation: $23 - $35/hr based on skills assessment, experience, and credentialing | Higher compensation available for VTS

Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our Cardiology team in Portsmouth, NH. Compensation
