Job description

Paws & Claws Pet Medical Center is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team!

Our technicians are an important part of patient care, helping during appointments and procedures. You’ll assist with exams, prepare patients for surgery, monitor anesthesia, assist with dental procedures, and follow treatment plans. You'll also answer client questions and provide clear, compassionate education.

In this role, you’ll work closely with your team to follow the veterinarian’s instructions and help keep both appointments and procedures on track. This role is a great fit for techs who are strong communicators, good at juggling tasks, and want to use their full skill set in a variety of settings.

This is a flexible position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday.

Full-time benefits and compensation**:

  • Compensation: $24 - $28 per hour, for each hour worked*
  • Bonus package: $2000
  • CE allowance: $500 the first year, $1,000 annually thereafter

Minimum qualifications and skillset:

  • Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Oregon
  • 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Anesthesia intubation/ induction
    • Assisting in surgery
    • Dental prophy
    • IVC placement
    • Radiographs
