What You’ll Do
Role
As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you’ll play a vital role in patient care, client communication, and supporting our veterinarians and assistants. You should be confident and proficient in:
- Venipuncture & IV catheter placement
- Administering vaccines and medications
- Patient surgical monitoring and anesthesia
- Drug calculations
- Dental prophylaxis
- General technical duties of a Licensed Veterinary Technician
Schedule & Compensation
- Hours: 32-34 hours/week Monday-Friday: 8:30 am-5:00 pm. Every other Saturday, with a half-day off during the week. Extended shifts (7:30 am-6:00 pm) on Mondays and Wednesdays.
- Pay: $22 - $25/hour, based on experience

Responsibilities
Major Duties include:
- In-patient medical care and treatments
- Anesthesia and surgical prep, monitoring, and recovery
- Dental care and procedures
- Radiology assistance
- Laboratory duties
- Client communication and education
- Veterinary technician appointments
- Clinic support tasks: assisting in exams, inventory, prescriptions
- Training and mentoring new team members
- Ensuring smooth clinic operations
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental, and nursing skills
- Patience and composure in stressful and medical crisis situations
- Ability to give SQ, IM, and IV injections
- Knowledge of drugs, anesthesia, and patient recovery
- English language proficiency for reasoning, reading, and communication
- Confidence around pets
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- State licensing
- 1+ years veterinary experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physical tasks, lift up to 50+ pounds, and endure hospital environment conditions
- Sufficient ambulatory skills and sensory abilities
Travel: Minimal, possibly for vendor visits and education.
