Job summary

Landisville Animal Hospital in Landisville, PA seeks a Certified Veterinary Technician to join a collaborative team delivering exceptional patient care. You will support veterinarians in surgery, anesthesia, diagnostics, and client education.

Qualified CVTs in PA or those eligible for licensure are encouraged to apply. Flexibility for evenings/weekends and a commitment to teamwork are valued in our welcoming hospital.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania CVT or eligible for licensure in PA.
• Experience in veterinary nursing preferred.
• Excellent communication and client education skills.
• Compassionate, dependable and self-motivated.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate nursing care to canine and feline patients.
• Obtain patient histories and perform physical assessments.
• Safely restrain patients using Fear Free approach when possible.
• Collect lab samples and perform in-house diagnostics.
• Place IV catheters and perform venipuncture.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed.
• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia.
• Assist veterinarians during surgical and dental procedures.
• Capture high-quality diagnostic radiographs.
• Educate clients on preventive care, treatment plans, and home care.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure outstanding patient care and client experience.

Here is What Your day May Consist of:

• Current Pennsylvania Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT) or eligibility for licensure
• Previous veterinary experience preferred
