PetVet Care Centers’ Caring Hands Veterinary Hospital in Thornton, Colorado seeks a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. The role supports hospital operations and patient care, including examinations, diagnostics, surgery assistance, and medical records management.

The position offers a 40-hour week from Monday to Saturday with a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 based on experience. We provide benefits and opportunities within a large national network.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license required.

Responsibilities

• Determine animal requirements by conducting examinations and reviewing care plans and records.
• Care for patients by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medications, vaccines, and wound care.
• Assist during examinations and operations by preparing supplies, moving patients, and restraining as directed by the veterinarian.
• Maintain medical records by documenting conditions, reactions, and changes and updating the database.
• Communicate with pet owners about patient status as directed by the veterinarian.
• Maintain equipment and inventory; place orders for needed supplies and ensure proper records.
