Job summary

UCP of Central Florida is seeking a part-time Certified Tutor for the Downtown Orlando campus to deliver targeted instruction and support. The role focuses on students’ individual needs and rapid adaptation to teaching platforms and high-stakes testing strategies.

The tutor will provide 1:1 or small group tutoring, maintain records in Google Drive, and collaborate with Interventionists, Coaches, and the Principal to drive student progress.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida teaching certificate or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Education preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years classroom teaching experience with students with and without disabilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides 1:1 or small group tutoring for assigned students.
• Implements high stakes testing instructional strategies that stimulate learning.
• Uses tutoring materials as designed in Google Drive.
• Takes ownership of students’ academic progress and attendance.
• Collaborates with Interventionist/Coach regarding instruction and data-driven decisions.
• Open to coaching from administrators and instructional coaches.
• Provides feedback on student performance to Interventionist/Coach and Principal.
• Records student data using Google Drive spreadsheets.
