Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required and completion of one year probation as Trooper Probationary.
• Full-time certification as a law enforcement officer and 3+ years of uninterrupted law enforcement experience may be required.
• Valid Vermont motor vehicle license.
• Must complete three-week Vermont State Police Pre-Basic Academy and Post-Basic Academy.

Responsibilities

• Specialized law enforcement work across State Police roles as assigned.
• Exercise initiative, judgment and discretion within regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Potential rotation into patrol commander, special investigator, or training instructor roles as needed.
