Job summary

Wright is hiring a Traffic Controller in Columbus, OH to manage traffic and pedestrian flow at active construction sites. The role requires setting up safe work zones, using cones and signs, and maintaining compliance with safety rules.

You will work with a team and report to a Field Supervisor, with duties including paperwork and PPE adherence. Qualifications include being 18+, able to pass a drug screen, and capable of lifting 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Pass a drug screen prior to employment.
• Be able to stand throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Have reliable transportation to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Setup, maintain, and remove temporary work zones including signs and cones.
• Load and unload work zone equipment to and from the company vehicle.
• Complete and submit all necessary paperwork before leaving the last job site.
• Wear and maintain proper PPE per Wright policy.
• Ensure company vehicles are clean and report safety concerns.
• Review start time and address of job site as provided by office scheduler.
• Read and understand Wright safety manual and employee handbook.
• Reports directly to a Field Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
