Job summary

Delta-T Group North Jersey, Inc. is seeking Certified Teachers in East Orange, NJ for a long-term assignment for the 26-27 school year.

Positions start at $750 per week and are offered on an independent contractor basis. You'll plan, teach and evaluate instruction for students having difficulty with reading or writing, work with students in small groups and in classroom settings, and meet designated times and locations.

Qualifications

• NJDOE Teaching Certification required.
• NJ Department of Education Fingerprints required.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to build effective relationships with staff.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to stand most of the day or sit for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Plan, teach, and evaluate instruction for students having difficulty with reading or writing.
• Work with students in small groups and in classroom settings.
• Meet and instruct students in the locations and at the times designated.
• Use positive verbal and non-verbal skills that enhance learning.
• Model non-discriminatory practices in all activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information concerning students, staff, or parent/guardian in all public settings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by program/building administrator(s) in accordance with school policies and practices.
