Job summary

Apploi invites applications for a Teacher's Assistant for the school year, with 12 month positions and weekly pay. Under general supervision of a Teacher, the TA assists with classroom activities and provides personal care to children.

The role requires at least a Level 1 Certified TA, a high school diploma or GED, and fingerprinting or willingness to be fingerprinted. Candidates should be registered on TEACH and have completed DV/Child Abuse coursework and a recent physical exam with vaccines

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Level 1 Certified TA or higher required.
• 6 months TA experience preferred.
• Fingerprinting by Board of Education/Department of Investigation or willingness to do so.
• Registered on TEACH website required.
• DV and Child Abuse courses completed.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical and programmatic aid to children.
• Aids in program plans and preparations.
• Assists with supervision of children in assigned areas.
• Performs clerical work (collating, folding, typing, laminating, phones).
• Attends required staff meetings.
• Assists with transporting children between buses and building.
