Position Summary

The Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality mathematics instruction that meets state standards and addresses the individual academic needs of students. The successful candidate will create a structured, supportive classroom environment while helping students build the academic skills, confidence, responsibility, and perseverance necessary for success.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with South Carolina academic standards.
• Provide differentiated instruction to meet students' varied academic needs and learning styles.
• Assess student progress and use assessment data to guide instruction.
• Maintain accurate student records, grades, and documentation.
• Establish and maintain clear classroom expectations and routines.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, counselors, and other student-support personnel.
• Provide additional academic support and intervention when needed.
• Incorporate technology and appropriate instructional resources into mathematics instruction.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
